Published By OWC Research Staff on March 2, 2011
Thiamine, known as vitamin B1, plays a key role in the body’s metabolic cycle for digesting food and generating energy for cellular function. Vitamin B1 aids in the digestion of carbohydrates; essential for the normal functioning of the nervous system, muscles & heart. Vitamin B1 also stabilizes the appetite. Vitamin B1 promotes growth, cell turnover & good muscle tone. Increasing evidence over the past decade supports that B1, thiamine, improves brain function by increasing blood circulation.
Please see Vitamin B for more information on the inter-play and co-factor aspects of other B vitamins.
